and WOI JAZZed up one night of JAZZuary in Johnston

Iowa Public Television teamed up with WOI Radio for a special
presentation of WOI's Third Thursday jazz series on Thursday,
January 18. Third Thursday was broadcast live on WOI-FM from
Iowa Public Television's Studio III in Johnston in front of
an audience of 300 jazz fans.
The Julius Brooks Quintet heated up IPTV's studio with Frank
Tribble on guitar, Pete Simonson on drums, Scott Davis on
trumpet, Steve Charlton on bass, and Brooks on tenor sax.
This collaborative event was the first of its kind for IPTV
and WOI as a team and was sparked by Ken Burns' s JAZZ broadcast
