Animal Life and Beyond explores the broad spectrum of the animal kingdom and its evolution. Computer graphics, animation and animals in their natural habitats make this series a vivid examination of adaptation as an alternative to extinction.

101. Birds
This program explores the origins and evolution of the first birds, flight abilities, reproductive processes and preservation of endangered species.

102. The Food Chain
In addition to the sun's impact on the food chain, this program describes the process of photosynthesis, the five-level food chain pyramid, and the cyclical motion of carbon in the environment.

103. Heat and Living Beings
Temperature affects all living creatures. This program examines the geological distribution of plant and animal life, ectothermic and endothermic animals, and the progression of plant life, from mosses and lichens to the final stages of plant development.

104. Mammals, Part 1
This program begins with the origins of mammals, including early physical features, evolution and dominance over reptiles. Common, distinguishing characteristics of mammals and the survival of mammalian offspring conclude the program.

105. Mammals, Part 2
Common characteristics of mammals are reviewed and then the diversity of the mammals of the world is explored. Included are monotremes, marsupials, placental mammals, ungulate mammals, ruminants and marine mammals.

106. Marine Life
Different marine-life zones and examples of life in each zone are revealed. These species range from the very smallest to the largest and from the surface to the abyssal depths of the sea.

107. Microscopic Life Forms
This program explains the three microscopic kingdoms: the Protista kingdom, the Fungi kingdom and the Monera kingdom. Movement, importance, environment, size and usefulness are some of the concepts explored.

108. Reptiles
Common characteristics of reptiles and amphibians are discussed as well as their differences. Origins of reptiles from the dinosaurs to present-day reptiles are traced. The program finishes with a discussion of the variety of reptiles included in the principal orders and subclasses of Testudines, Lepidosauria and Crocodilia.
