Every
year, Iowa Public Television purchases
educational record rights for all
105 series included in The Classroom
Resource catalog. This allows teachers
to record programs and retain them
as long as they air on IPTV.
Specific
record rights fall into one of the
two categories:
Recording/duplication
allowed:
You
may record, make as many copies as
needed, or obtain copies through your
Area Education Agency as
long as they air on IPTV.
Record
only. No duplication:
You
may record the broadcast or borrow
a recording from a lending library.
No copies may be made from the original
recording.
Public
television programs not included in
the 2003-2004 Classroom Resource catalog
-- for example prime time broadcasts
-- are subject to different copyright
guidelines. Check the
