In the Mexican
gave us her recipe for Buñuelos, a crispy cinnamon-covered treat commonly served
at Mexican Christmas celebrations.
1 ¾ c flour
3 Tbs. butter
1/3 c milk
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking powder
and roll dough into flat circles. Fry in oil at 300-325 degrees until golden.
(Beatriz prefers the taste of Wesson oil.) Keep turning them to prevent burning.
Cool. Sprinkle with lots of cinnamon and sugar.
