| Faces of Living In Iowa

|
| Paul Berge |
Paul Berge moved to Iowa from California in 1984, when his job as
a FAA air traffic controller took him to Des Moines. He's a licensed
pilot and flight instructor and active member of the Antique Airplane
Association. He writes about aviation for several magazines and
is editor of one. He wrote a novel, Bootleg Skies, about bootlegging
in Iowa during Prohibition. A stack of rejection slips for other
stories, however, led him to co-create and co-produce the radio
drama series Rejection Slip Theater, which still airs on WHO radio.
He lives in Indianola with his wife, Kathleen, a veterinarian, and
their daughter, Emily.
