Michele Beschen was born into a very creative family that nurtured, encouraged and inspired her to do for herself, think outside the box and to not be afraid to try things. "Every facet of our lives can be approached creatively," Michele says, and she has made it her life’s work to inspire others to "B. Original."
This high-spirited how to hipster from the Midwest took a dream and a passion for all things creative…wrangled her un-manicured hands around a stack of power tools and constructed herself a studio. Throw in another creative chic and she's created a television series that's fresh, playful and unpredictable…all from the comfort of her own home. "Michele Beschen's Courage to Create" was launched in February 2003. A year later, she formed 2 Chics and a Camera Productions, brought her fellow creative cohort Elisabeth Ballstadt into the picture to shoot and edit and they’ve been rockin’ and rollin’ with their one size fits all creative entertainment ever since!
Michele is a wife and a mother, with dirt under her fingernails and a fresh coat of lipstick beneath her safety glasses. She's proven you CAN bake your bundt cake and eat it too. After spending ten years of her professional life working at the FOX affiliate in Des Moines, Iowa, Michele decided it was time to put that knowledge to the test and create something of her own. "Michele Beschen's Courage to Create" can be found on broadcast stations across the country and her new series "B. Original" will launch on the DIY Network in the fall of 2006.
