| Pat Boddy |
Pat Boddy came to Des Moines in 1975 from the St. Louis area after graduating from the University of Missouri's Journalism school. She started with WHO Radio as morning drive producer and left the station to pursue her interest in environmental engineering, graduating from Iowa State with her B.S. in Agricultural Engineering in 1980 and in 1990, with her M.S. in Water Resources. While working at an engineering firm in 1982, she successfully auditioned as host/interviewer for Iowa Public Television's Touchstone program. When that program was cancelled in 1990, she followed as host of IPTV's Iowa This Weekend for several seasons and continues to host specials for Iowa Public Television. After 15 years in her own successful communications research and production business, Boddy now serves as director of Polk County Conservation. She has been married for 30 years to journalist Rob Davis and they have two children, a daughter age 20 (who's a Hawkeye! - how'd that happen?), and a son who is a Junior at a Des Moines high school.
