The Shows (Feature 1205.152)
Anamosa's Motorcycle Museum

In Anamosa, former haunt of artist Grant Wood, Paul Berge discovers a museum that’s on the wild side. He enters "The National Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame" and wanders through a wide variety of two-wheeled wonders.

Since we first aired this feature, the Motorcycle Museum has nearly doubled the number of rare and historic motorcycles under its roof.

Paul also pauses momentarily outside a new museum related to the State Penitentiary, but feels lucky that he doesn’t have a "mandatory invitation" to stay.

The Anamosa State Penitentiary Museum opened its doors on Friday, May 24th, 2002. Currently, hours are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from noon to 4, and other times by appointment. The Museum includes a mock-up of a modern prison cell.
