Jonathan Schwabe
Broadcast 09/10/01 UNI Associate Professor of Theory and Composition Jonathan Schwabe responded to the September 11 terrorist attacks with music. He wrote an orchestra composition called In Memoriam 11, September. He asked Des Moines Symphony Maestro Joseph Guinta to conduct his piece. Living in Iowa traveled to Cedar Falls to watch Joseph Guinta conduct 12-string players of UNI’s music department perform the piece.
