Layton Zbornik: Rock 'N' Roll Teacher
Broadcast 04/25/03 His high school students know him as Mr. Z, but in 1957 he was a rock and roller known as Jerry Martin. As Jerry Martin, he was the first musician to record a rock and roll song in the state of Iowa, but as Layton Zbornik, he works with his students in Nora Springs to make the world a better place through his Peace Alliance seminars. Travel with Living in Iowa on the long and winding road that took Jerry Martin from rock and roller to Layton Zbornik, high school teacher.
