Joy Sadler Interview


Waterloo nurse Joy Sadler went to Indonesia to care for the war-torn country's sick and injured. She wound up in jail, where she staged a 47-day hunger strike to protest prison conditions and courtroom delays. Sadler, who has recently returned to the U.S., discussed her 4-month captivity, and her continuing desire to help the rebel forces on Living in Iowa.
