It's Alive!
Broadcast 06/18/04 It's a celebration with dancing in the streets of Cedar Rapids for the grand opening of the African American Historical Museum and Cultural Center of Iowa. Drill teams performed and hot dogs were served along with a healthy dose of history. Museum creators want the museum's influence to reach out beyond the four walls to serve the community and bring people together. The exhibits focus on African American history in Iowa and our story will focus on several unusual artifacts that tell some interesting stories.
