On May 17, 1954, the United States Supreme Court delivered a landmark civil rights decision known as Brown vs. the Board of Education. The unanimous decision struck down the "separate but equal" doctrine in public education and required the desegregation of schools across America. Relive the 50th anniversary of this historic decision with a reenactment of the judicial proceedings from the United States District Court Building in Des Moines. Several distinguished Iowa judges and attorneys will reenact key portions of this landmark case.
