Rural Iowa and Alzheimer's Disease
Broadcast 10/07/05 If you're older than 65, you have a ten percent chance of showing signs of dementia or Alzheimer's Disease. In Iowa, that's a large percentage of our population, and it is on the increase, with a trend towards starting at earlier ages. Living in Iowa talked with the project coordinator of the Rural Alzheimer's Demonstration Project about what's being done to reach out to families and individuals with this debilitating disease.
