Iowa Artists - Andrew McCormick
Broadcast 10/06/06 Hulk Hogan, Pinnocchio, and even characters from McDonalds' commercials have all shown up on art gallery walls in recent years, thanks to artist Andrew McCormick. Andrew's exploring how modern culture has shaped his sense of who he is as a man. When his daughter was born a few years ago, Andrew wondered how he would change, internally, as he assumed the role of father. Originally from Atlantic, Iowa, Andrew now lives in Ames. His story is another in the series of Iowa Artists inspired by the 2005 exhibit at the Des Moines Museum of Art Downtown gallery.
