Despite their name, John Resch and the Detroit Blues is a music group based in Davenport, Iowa. The group is comprised of veteran musicians from the Iowa/Illinois Quad Cities. The band has a distinctive, classic blues style reminiscent of early Chicago electric blues with a high energy edge. The members of John Resch and the Detroit Blues are frontman/vocalist/bassist John Resch, harmonica player "Detroit Larry" Davison, drummer "TC" Carton and guitarist Jeff "The Professor" Andrews. This new regional band's members are seasoned veterans who individually or collectively have won the Quad Cities Blues Challenge for the past four years and the Iowa Statewide Challenge in 1999 and 2000.
