    (Aug 29, 2003) European researchers found subjects who ate dark chocolate had a temporary increase in antioxidant levels in the bloodstream, which is said to decrease LDLs, also called the "bad cholesterol".
  • Future Corn Oils May Lower Cholesterol
    (Aug 29, 2003) The Agricultural Research Service is developing 14 new varieties of corn which are high in oleic acid. Scientists say elevated levels of oleic acid gives corn oil stability in flavor and is also linked to lowering blood cholesterol levels.
