Parents in Houston, Texas will soon be able to control what their children eat at school. Within the next year, an automated cafeteria system will offer prepaid accounts that let parents declare certain foods off limits. Parents can the go online and track their child's eating habits and make changes if needed.
For example, a spokesperson for the Houston Independent School District says if parents want to allow their child to eat chips one day a week, they can authorize that on the menu.
