The Sept. 18 concert will be held at the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park and will be headlined by Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, and Dave Matthews. Organizers also are planning a week-long series of events to celebrate the fund-raiser, which got its start in Champaign, IL, in 1985.
Over the years, Farm Aid has raised $27 million to help farmers. Nelson says this year's efforts are focused on putting farmers back on the land and promoting organic farming.
Tickets go on sale July 30.
