Emmpak Foods Recalls 123,000 Lbs. of Ground Beef

Emmpak Foods, Inc. of Milwaukee, is voluntarily recalling approximately 123,000 pounds of ground beef that may be contaminated with hydraulic fluid. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall on Monday, February 14.

Nine different products are included in the recall, all of which are different varieties of ground beef. The meat was distributed to retail stores in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wisconsin.

The problem was discovered after FSIS received a consumer complaint. Anyone concerned about an injury from consumption of the products should contact a physician.
