posted on April 30, 2004

U.S. soybean crush in March totaled 129.5 million bushels, the U.S. Census Bureau reports. That's down from 131.39 million bushels in February, but more than analysts' estimates.

Soymeal stocks for the month were reported at 375,593 tons, slightly above the average trade guess. Meal stocks for the same time a year ago stood at 355,602 tons, while the February 2004 total was 415,788 tons.

Soyoil stocks for March were reported at 1.857 billion pounds, less than the average trade guess. Year ago March stocks totaled 2.245 billion pounds, while February 2004 supplies totaled 1.988 billion pounds.
