Beef tallow, vegetarians, and 10 million dollars…

After admitting to the use of beef-flavored oil to cook french fries, McDonald's Corporation is coughing up 10 million dollars to settle a lawsuit initiated by vegetarians.

A group of lawyers decided six million dollars should be split among various vegetarian groups affected by the discovery. Another two million would be distributed to Hindu and Sikh (seek) organizations. The remaining funds would be split among children's nutrition and hunger relief efforts, and Kosher foods and practices education efforts.
