No Account for Low Count

posted on November 15, 2002

Researchers in California, New York, and Missouri recently completed a study showing the sperm of rural Missouri males is poorer in quality than those of the men from urban areas.

Of the 512 couples studied across the United States, those from rural Missouri were found to have sperm whose shape, activity and count were lower than their urban counterparts.

Scientists have yet to nail down the reason but suspect one of the possible culprits is farm chemicals.
