Indestructable Sandwiches

posted on April 19, 2002

Alright soldier, by the numbers UNWRAP, REMOVE, EAT!

Military field rations are known for their nourishing content and cardboard-like consistency. In the battle to destroy that opinion a research team attached to the U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center has invented a tasty and nearly indestructible sandwich.

Through advanced preparation and packaging these new "super sandwiches" will remain fresh for up to three years without spoiling.

The new entrée', ready for deployment in '04, is actually a pocket sandwich filled with various combinations of ingredients including chicken, pepperoni, and cheese.

The soldiers who "drew" duty on the "taste-testing-detail" voted the delectable delights "acceptable."
