Results of "Got Milk?" campaign research reveals students would buy vended milk rather than another beverage…if the milk were available and convenient.
The study combined that requested easy access with portable, plastic, single-serve containers and a variety of flavors and fat contents.
The milk sold well. On average, a 360 unit machine sold more than 75 percent of its contents each week.
If the study is an accurate indicator, widespread vending could increase consumption of milk in schools by 16.3 million gallons a year or four percent.
