"Be ve'wey, ve'wey quiet... I'm hunting pheasants and helping farmers..."

The USDA, this week, announced final regulations for enrollment in a new program preserving wetlands.

The Farmable Wetland Pilot Program will allow up to 500,000 acres in what's known as the "Prairie Pothole" region of North America to be taken out of production and enrolled in the on-going Conservation Reserve Program.

Pheasants Forever, a non-profit group dedicated to protection of wildlife habitat, praised the plan, claiming it benefits wildlife and landowners alike.
