Using caffeine to prevent Parkinson's

posted on May 26, 2000

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A GOOD CUP OF COFFEE.

SCIENTISTS THINK THE JIVE IN JAVA MAY BE A PREVENTATIVE FOR PARKINSON'S DISEASE. A STUDY IN THE JOURNAL OF AMERICAN MEDICINE REVEALED NON-COFFEE DRINKERS WERE FIVE-TIMES MORE LIKELY TO GET THE NERVE DEGENERATING DISEASE THAN THOSE WHO DRANK FIVE AND A HALF CUPS, A LITTLE MORE THAN THIRTY OUNCES, PER DAY. CAFFEINE IS ONE FACTOR BEING CONSIDERED AS THE MIRACLE PREVENTATIVE.

NOT DISCUSSED IN THE ARTICLE WAS HOW A PRODUCT THAT PRODUCES THE JITTERS CAN KEEP A DISEASE AT BAY WHOSE MOST COMMON SYMPTOM IS A SHAKING OF THE HANDS.
