As the Perry Como song goes, “there’s no place like home for the holidays.” And while new home sales has fallen off, more people moved around the country last month than any time over the past decade. –-

National Association of Realtors data shows sales of existing homes rose 0.7 percent last month – the highest since 2007.

And while manufacturing plants have begun to restock, the Commerce Department says orders for durable goods fell 4.6 percent in November on declining aircraft sales. Without the shiny silver birds, the rate rose 0.5 percent.

And investment in the economy continued its record breaking run as Wall Street rang the bell within 30 points of the mythical 20,000 point threshold only to fall back slightly by the final session
