Cathy Barton and Dave Para, from Missouri, perform what they like to call "hand-me-down music." This versatile vocal duo plays folk and old-time music on several instruments, including hammered dulcimer, fretted dulcimer, banjo, guitar, Autoharp, mouthbow, bones and leaf.

The Ezells
The Ezells have appeared at many Iowa bluegrass and old-time country music festivals. Marge Ezell, who is lead singer and plays upright acoustic bass, has been awarded the Midwest Female Vocalist of the Year three times by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music. Other members include: Don Ezell on guitar; Rory Ezell on mandolin, guitar and vocals; and Darrell Hatfield on banjo and vocals.

The Waring Family
The Waring Family is from Jesup, Iowa. Since 1994, the Warings have been playing bluegrass and gospel music at festivals around the Midwest. Each family member joins in their outstanding harmony sound. Dad Gene Waring plays banjo, son Mike is on bass, daughter Susan Durham plays guitar, and Jesse Durham, Susan's husband, sings lead and plays mandolin and guitar.

The Wilders
The Wilders are from Kansas City and play tunes from the golden age of country music (the `20s-`40s). Members include Ike Sheldon singing lead and playing guitar, fiddler Betse Ellis, Phil Wade on Dobro, banjo and mandolin, and Nate Gawron on string bass.
