of Strategy |
Combinations: Graphic Organizers |
|
Description |
In my nurse aide class, we discussed the use of graphic organizers as a strategy for both before and after reading. Using a section from the text, I modeled an organizer and then had students do one on their own.

Reflection |
Students thought it was good to organize information this way. The next assigned activity though, they went back to straight note-taking. (I suppose they go with what’s familiar.) I will use graphic organizers again. I even showed the students how I use graphic organizers for my own notes in graduate school. I think they will try it more as I model the techniques.
