Description |
Some of my welding students are virtual non-readers. However, there is reading involved in this field. I have these students make 3x5 cards and work on welding-specific vocabulary by sight.

This little thing has made a big difference. Students are more confident as they acquire more and more sight words. Some kids are even taking home articles to read more about welding.
