2006 National Special Olympics

Iowa Public Television is proud to present highlights and stories from first-ever National Special Olympics from Ames, Iowa. Working in conjunction with several states' public television stations, IPTV will present an hour-long look at the competitors, coaches, volunteers and families who will come together for this history-making six-day competition. From the carrying of the Olympic torch, to the training and participation of the athletes, and the awards ceremonies, IPTV and its broadcast partners will give viewers an inside look at this ground-breaking event. The program will debut on statewide Iowa Public Television on Monday, July 10.
