Asian Cities: Shanghai, Jakarta, Calcutta and Bangkok (#139)

Danielle takes in the many delights of Shanghai, from the opera to gymnasts, shopping in the Yu Yuan bazaar, swing dancing on the historic Bund and eating many delicious meals. Megan visits the historic Dutch sites in Jakarta, takes in a puppet show, samples an Indonesian rice banquet, enjoys the wild nightlife and has a batik lesson. Holly takes in the crowds and noise of Calcutta while visiting the famous temple to Kali that gave the city its name, takes in the British colonial sights and spends a day working with street kids through the Don Bosco charity. She shops in the famous bazaars and enjoys some great meals. In Bangkok, Ian visits the huge temple of the Emerald Buddha (over 100 buildings!), goes shopping on famous Khao Sang Road and eats delicious food in the famous floating markets.
