Globe Trekker

Turkey (#212)

Justine begins her journey in Ephesus, home of impressive ruins dating back to 700 B.C. She travels south to the coastal town of Fethiye where she boards a yacht for Olympos, visiting the secret coves and sandy beaches of the Turquoise Coast. She camps overnight in a tree house at the well-known travelers' hangout Kadir's, then heads out to see the mythical natural wonder Chimera - the eternal flames. In the Ottoman town, Safronbolu, Justine has a Turkish bath, where her bones are cracked and muscles pummeled. She learns the finer points of buying quality Turkish rugs from a friendly carpet seller in Goreme. [58 minutes] Closed Captioning
