North India: Varanasi to the Himalayas (#223)

Andrew begins his intense journey with a dawn boat trip on the holy river Ganges. He witnesses pilgrims bathing in the ghats along the river and bodies being cremated. An overnight train takes Andrew to Agra, home to the Taj Mahal. In Corbett National Park, he goes on an elephant safari, and he attends his first yoga lesson at an ashram in Rishikesh. On a train, Andrew climbs high into the Himalayas and finds himself in Leh, a lost city populated by Tibetan refugees isolated from the world most of the year. [56 minutes] Closed Captioning
