Globe Trekker

Arctic Canada (#422)

Ian Wright begins his trip in Montreal, the heart of Quebec, where he samples gourmet delights both in town and at a "sugar shack," origin of Canada's renowned maple syrup. He visits the Madeline Islands and frolics with the seal pups, ventures to Yellowknife, parties at the Caribou Carnival and ventures to Baffin Island, where he hears the ancient Inuit tradition of throat singing. Later it's off by dog sled to Kimmirut across the Meta Incognita or "dreaded unknown" and takes aday trip to Broughton Island in hopes of glimpsing a polar bear. [56 minutes] Closed Captioning
