Program Description: JAKERS! THE ADVENTURES OF PIGGLEY WINKS follows the adventures of Piggley Winks, a spunky eight-year-old pig, and his friends Dannan the duck and Ferny the bull on Raloo Farm in Ireland. While the intrepid trio are enjoying their escapades - "Jakers!" is their oft-used Irish expression of amazement and delight - American transplant Wiley the Sheep is busy offering wild and woolly advice to his all-too-sheepish flock. In an act of "shear" comic genius, renowned funnyman Mel Brooks voices the role of Wiley the Sheep (TM), and Joan Rivers is the voice of Shirley the Sheep (TM). Each episode of JAKERS! ends with two live-action segments. In "Meet the Grandparents," real-life grandparents and grandchildren talk about their family history to promote intergenerational communication; " Piggley's Storyteller Playhouse" explores different ways of telling a story.
