Assignment Iowa

Internet Intruders.... (#110)

The days are past when parents could feel secure knowing their children were home behind locked doors. The household computer connected to the Internet represents a gaping portal through which unwanted advances can readily pass. According to the U. S. Attorney’s office in Cedar Rapids, an estimated 50 thousand predators are on the Internet prowling for children. One in four children have had an unwanted exposure to pornography over the Web, but only 25% of those children told a parent. Clearly, our children need to learn the new forms of stranger danger. Assignment Iowa goes behind the scenes with investigators and we come away with some shocking realizations and new safety rules for both parents and kids.
