Then a little life on the Mississippi at Lansing, Iowa, plus that state'sEffegy Mounds National Monument and a side trip to picturesque Galena , Illinois. Then on to the Amana Colonies, the state capital in Des Moines, also home to Living History Farms, then to Boone, IA for the wonderful old Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad.
