The Bottom Line (#116)
In this episode Victor needs to buy a new stove for the cafe and must apply for a bank loan. However, the young loan officer has a low opinion of "anyone over forty" and says the cafe must make more money or reduce overhead by firing an employee. Jess helps increase business at the cafe by bringing in members of his retirement center. Jamal helps by finding an old replacement piece for the faulty stove and eliminates the need of a new stove. The "Word Play" segment explains how to report information. The "Culture Clips" segment presents the topic of the elderly in the US spotlights two elderly women who work at a day care center in California. They tell of the importance of continuing to be active and contributing to the community.
