Walls and Bridges (#121)
In this episode, Rosa is a Big Sister for a girl named Maria, whose family's economic needs force Maria to quit her promising high school career. Rosa argues with Maria's father to allow the girl continue with her studies. Brashov worries about completing his citizenship exam but by the end of the program he earns his papers. He convinces Maria's father that Maria deserves a chance at a successful future. The "Word Play" segment demonstrates how to ask for and offer assistance. "Culture Clips" follows a woman from Guatemala through the process for becoming a US citizen.
