Des Moines Register Debates: Democratic Gubernatorial Debate
Michael Blouin, Chet Culver, Ed Fallon - Democratic Candidates for Governor of Iowa (#2006)
The event is open to the media. Media interested in covering the debate at the studios of Iowa Public Television in Johnston should contact executive producer Sid Sprecher at Iowa Public Television, 515/242-3122.
A media room will be set up with a mult box, DA feed, and monitors. The room will be open from Noon to 3 p.m. The debate will air live from 1 - 2 p.m.
Video cameras and tape recorders will not be allowed in the studio auditorium, but seating for reporters will be available at the back of the auditorium. Fifteen minutes prior to the 1 p.m. debate, there will be a short photo opportunity with the candidates for still cameras. At the same time, IPTV will provide video cover shots to the pool feed in the media room.
Stations can also take the off-air signal of the debate for news excerption only. On-air credit must be given to Iowa Public Television. Identification keys will be used throughout.
