Great Performances Dance In America
A tale of love, betrayal, abduction and murder, American Ballet Theatre's production of Le Corsaire is a tongue-in-cheek classical ballet with an engagingly entangled plot involving swashbuckling pirates, evil slave traders and beautiful harem girls. This production, based on the choreography of Konstantin Sergeyev after Marius Petipa, showcases an array of pyrotechnically charged performances by ABT's remarkable international cast, including Ethan Stiefel, Julie Kent, Angel Corella, Paloma Herrera, Vladimir Malakhov and Joaquin De Luz.
