Discussion On Legalizing Medical Marijuana In Iowa (#4126)

Senator Joe Bolkcom (D-Iowa City) and Steve Lukan, director of Iowa’ s Office of Drug Control Policy, and West Des Moines Mayor Steve Gaer (R) are the guests on the March 21 edition of Iowa Press. They will discuss whether or not Iowa should legalize medical marijuana. Senator Bolkcom introduced a bill this legislative session, and Mayor Gaer is advocating for legalizing medical marijuana to help his daughter who suffers from Dravet syndrome.
Joining Bolkcom, Lukan, and Gaer at the Iowa Press table are moderator Dean Borg; Kay Henderson, news director for Radio Iowa; and James Lynch, political reporter for The Gazette. [28 minutes] Closed Captioning
