A featured speaker at the 2008 Emergence of Mind Symposium, sponsored by the Great Ape Trust of Iowa, was Dr. Tetsuro Matsuzawa, a professor in the Language and Intelligence Section at the Primate Research Institute at Kyoto University in Japan. Dr. Matsuzawa’s research has focused on chimpanzee intelligence and tool use, both in the wild and in laboratory settings.

Program Description: Intelligent Talk Television showcases recent lectures given by guest speakers at colleges and universities across Iowa. The collaborative effort between IPTV and participating colleges and universities provides mentoring to students, giving them the opportunity to shoot and edit the events for broadcast on IPTV’ s digital channel and streaming on the ITTV Web site.
