Lindy Boggs: Steel and Velvet

Lindy Boggs was the founding mother of the Women's Caucus in the US House of Representatives. She was first women to head a national party convention. Mrs. Boggs was the wife and equal political force with Rep. Hale Boggs who was floor leader for President Johnson and his Great Society legislation. Lindy was one of the driving forces in the Women's and Equal Rights legislations and did it all with the charm and grace of a Southern lady.
