The team delve into the dark recesses of 1980s state childcare when a long-lost girl is found in the present with her eyes stabbed out. When a notorious peace demonstrator is found dead underneath the Ministry of Defence, the cold case team are confronted by paranoid, powerful and dangerous figures from the polarised political landscape of the past.
