Prayer in America
Prayer in America
Based in part on the book One Nation Under God - The History of Prayer in America by author James P. Moore, Jr., the multi-faith television special PRAYER IN AMERICA will examine the role prayer has played throughout American history in two, 1-hour specials. What is prayer? What is the relationship between science and prayer? How has prayer contributed to the fabric of American history, culture and everyday life during the past 700 to 1000 years? What role has prayer played in the lives of both prominent and everyday Americans throughout history? These and other questions will be explored in an objective, journalistic approach designed to inspire the kind of dialogue that could lead to a greater understanding of America's diverse communities of faith.
