Creation of the Universe

In their ongoing exploration of subatomic particles, scientists are turning up clues to the origin and evolution of the entire universe. THE CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE identifies and explaines some of the most challenging ideas and theories in contemporary science, including the theory that the universe could have appeared spontaneously out of a perfect vacuum. This unique program combines spectacular special effects, lavish footage and animation. Interviewed are Nobel Prize winner Carlo Rubbia; Murray Gell-Mann, who coined the term "quark"; and foremost world physicist Stephen Hawking. Produced by Northstar Productions, 1985.
