Program Description: Over 1500 students from 60 Iowa high schools will participate in the 2008 Iowa Jazz Championships, the nation's largest one-day high school jazz festival. The event is held annually at the Polk County Convention Complex and the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines. A series of four half-hour programs taped at the Civic Center will be produced. Each program will feature the top two bands in one of four classes ( 1A, 2A,3A, 4A) competing for the championship in that class.
